The 20th Annual Del Mar Nationals Car Show starts-up for a weekend of fuel, fun, and sun on Friday, October 1st, 2021. Due to COVID-19. It was rescheduled from October in 2020 to April of 2021. But it moved again.
With three full-days, this car show is a must-attend event for any automotive enthusiast who hungers for hot rods. Because the show is only open to 1987 vehicles and older. Except for Sunday when all years are welcome – as long as it’s made it the USA!

And they definitely check all the boxes when it comes to measuring motor-muscle. Check out the list of features:
- More than 2,500 vehicles – hot rods, customs, and muscle cars and trucks
- Street Rod d’Elegance competition
- Autocross competition
- Burn out competition
- Dragster competition
Plus they’ll have lots of engaging and entertaining activities for the kiddos. And, of course, a swapmeet and ‘cars for sale corral.’

So, pretty much nothing is free at the Del Mar Nationals Car Show. That’s except for the smell of burning rubber and the glare of highly polished hot rods. But, the Goodguys put on a great show so it’s totally worth it.
