Gas & Glaze Cars And Coffee is a new Saturday morning car meet in La Puente at Fresh Donuts. And that’s located south of West Covina and north of Hacienda Heights.
The event started in March of 2021. All types of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and creations are welcome. And I highlight ‘creations’ because when I went I met Ed. He’s pictured above with his semi-tractor.

And, the picture is in no way altered. Because Ed is standing next to his 100% homemade semi-tractor creation. He even made the frame! So it turns out Ed’s made a number of these creations. Red, mini, totally custom, semi-tractors. He’s a retired auto mechanic and is happy to talk about his truck. Because he’s actually made four or five similar trucks!
Gas & Glaze C&C isn’t immediately off any surrounding highways but it’s easy to get to. A SoCal native named Mike started the event. And he’s committed to growing a regular crowd for the gathering.
Finally, I brought a couple of Fresh Donuts home for my toddler son and me to enjoy. And we give their donut recipe two-thumbs-up each… so, four thumbs-up. :0)
